President of the Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, is set to embark on a nationwide regional tour, beginning with a comprehensive four-day working visit to the three Northern Regions as part of efforts to deepen stakeholder engagement and accelerate football development across the country.

The tour will commence on Monday, February 2, 2026, with the GFA President touching down in Wa, the Upper West Regional capital. During his stay, the 2nd Vice-President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will engage the leadership of the Upper West Regional Football Association, as well as meet with club owners and officials from the various football divisions to discuss challenges, opportunities, and pathways for growth within the regional football ecosystem.

As part of the visit, President Simeon-Okraku will also pay a courtesy call on the Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing, Esq, where discussions will focus on areas of mutual interest, including infrastructure development, youth football and stronger collaboration between football authorities and government at the regional level.

In addition to the stakeholder engagements, the President will also embark on inspection tours of ongoing GFA projects in the region as part of efforts to assess progress and ensure alignment with the FA’s long-term development agenda. The itinerary includes visits to the Malik Jabir Stadium and the newly constructed B.K. Adama Park.

Following his engagements in Wa, the GFA President and his entourage will make a stop in Tumu before proceeding to the Upper East Regional capital, Bolgatanga, for similar stakeholder meetings and engagements with football administrators and clubs.

The Northern tour will conclude in Tamale, where President Simeon-Okraku is expected to round off the series of consultations with the Northern Regional Football Association and key football stakeholders in the region.

The nationwide form part of the Football Association’s commitment to inclusive governance, grassroots development and direct engagement with stakeholders at all levels, as the FA continues to strengthen football structures and promote sustainable growth across Ghana.
