President of the Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has officially set the national U-15 Girls team’s 2026 agenda in motion after meeting with the management committee on Monday, February 16, 2026, to outline a clear roadmap for scouting, player development and competitive readiness. The President expressed his appreciation to committee chairman Dr Charles Osei Antoh and his team for accepting the responsibility of guiding one of the country’s most critical youth national teams. He urged the committee to work closely with the National Juvenile Committee (NJC) and immediately begin nationwide scouting and preparations, emphasising the importance of early planning as the team gears up for key competitions scheduled for later this year. Dr. Osei Antoh, in response, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in the committee and pledged their commitment to building a competitive and well-structured team. He stressed the need for streamlined operations and strict adherence to player eligibility criteria to ensure fairness and long-term development. He also called on scouts to intensify their presence at match centres hosting the ongoing FIFA-backed Regional Leagues, urging them to identify and recommend talented players within the appropriate age bracket.
