Premier League: Vision FC battle Berekum Chelsea as Samartex host Dreams FC in key Saturday showdowns

Vision FC will look to extend their impressive unbeaten run when they welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Saturday in a crunch Premier League encounter.

The Tema-based side continued their fine run of form last weekend, battling to a resilient goalless draw against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, despite being reduced to ten men.

That spirited display stretched Vision FC’s unbeaten streak to five matches, the longest active run in the league, comprising two wins and three draws.

Currently sitting ninth on the league table with 31 points from 24 matches, Vision FC have scored 25 goals and conceded the same number as they push to secure a top-half finish. Their home form has been a key pillar of their campaign. At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, they have registered five wins, five draws, and just a single defeat this season, a narrow loss to league leaders Medeama SC on Matchday 19 in mid-January 2026.

Head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang will be eager for his side to capitalise on their strong home performances as they take on a Berekum Chelsea side fighting to steer clear of the relegation zone.

Chelsea head into the fixture placed 15th on the table, only one point above the drop zone. They were forced to fight back for a 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Young Apostles FC at the Golden City Park last weekend, showing resilience to salvage a crucial point.

Samuel Boadu’s men have produced mixed results in recent weeks, recording two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five league matches. Over the course of the campaign, they have scored 19 goals while conceding 25.

However, their away record remains a major concern. The Blues are among the division’s weakest travellers, managing just four draws while suffering eight defeats on the road. They have found the net only five times away from home and conceded 18 goals — the joint third-highest away goals conceded in the league.

FC Samartex 1996 vs Dreams FC

FC Samartex 1996 will be determined to return to winning ways when they host Dreams FC in another intriguing Premier League fixture at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Saturday.

The Timber giants currently occupy sixth place with 36 points but have endured a difficult spell in recent weeks. Samartex are winless in four of their last five league matches, managing two draws and two defeats, with their only victory in that stretch coming earlier in the run. Even more concerning is their attacking drought, having failed to score in each of those four winless matches.

Despite those struggles, Samartex remain one of the most defensively solid teams in the league, scoring 16 goals while conceding just 12 across 24 matches, the lowest goals conceded tally among several teams near the top half.

Their home ground, however, continues to be a fortress. The Nsenkyire Sports Arena remains unconquered this season, with Samartex recording eight wins and four draws in 12 home matches. That impressive record places them among the league’s top home performers.

Head coach Christopher Ennin will be hoping his side can use the comfort of home support to halt their winless run and reignite their push for the upper places on the table.

Dreams FC, meanwhile, appear to be regaining momentum after a slight dip in form. The “Still Believe” side are unbeaten in their last two league matches and come into this fixture buoyed by a valuable 1-0 victory over two-time champions Aduana FC at the Tuba Astroturf last weekend.

That result lifted Dreams FC two places up the standings to 11th with 30 points from 24 matches. They have been one of the league’s more productive attacking sides this season, scoring 28 goals — the third-highest tally in the competition — while conceding 25.

Encouragingly for coach Winfred Dormon, his team’s away performances have begun to improve. Dreams FC have recorded draws in their last three league matches on the road and will be eager to build on that growing resilience.
