Premier League: Nations FC target another big win as Bechem United search for away breakthrough on Friday
SHARE

Nations FC will be aiming to build on their renewed momentum when they host Bechem United FC in a crucial  Premier League clash on Friday.

Nations FC surged back into the top half of the table after securing a vital away victory over Eleven Wonders at the Swedru Sports Stadium last weekend. The impressive result marked their first league win on the road this season, providing a timely confidence boost ahead of their next assignment.

The Abrankese-based side currently sits 10th on the league table with 31 points, having scored 21 goals and conceded 22 after 24 matches. While their away form has been inconsistent, Nations have turned the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex into a formidable fortress this season.

Coach Frimpong Manso’s men are among the league’s strongest home performers, remaining unbeaten in 12 home matches with an impressive record of seven wins and five draws. During that run, they have scored 15 goals while conceding just seven, underlining their defensive solidity and growing confidence on home soil.

Nations FC will be eager to preserve that remarkable home record when they welcome Bechem United — a side they have drawn with in both previous league meetings at Abrankese.

Meanwhile, Bechem United enter the fixture three places below their hosts in 13th position with 30 points. The Hunters are currently enduring a challenging spell, having gone two league matches without a win, including a frustrating goalless draw against Karela United FC at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

The bigger concern for Bechem United, however, remains their struggles on the road. They have managed just two draws and nine defeats away from home, the joint-most away losses in the league this season. In 11 away matches, the Hunters have scored only eight goals while conceding 23 — statistics that highlight their difficulties outside Bechem.
