Hearts of Oak SC staged a spirited comeback to secure a 2-2 draw against Swedru All Blacks on their return to the Accra Sports Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

The visitors raced into a two-goal lead through Rudolf Mensah and William Danquah, capitalizing on defensive lapses, but Hearts responded strongly in the second half.

Goals from Mawuli Wayo and Frank Duku rescued a point for the Phobians, though their winless run now stretches to five matches, leaving them six points off the summit.

Dreams FC continued their impressive form with a dominant 3-0 victory over Hohoe United FC in Tema.

Early and composed finishing from Aminu Adams, Suraj Seidu and Abdul Razak Salifu sealed a comfortable win, extending Dreams’ strong run while deepening Hohoe’s relegation concerns.

Young Apostles boosted their survival hopes with an emphatic 3-0 win over Heart of Lions in Wenchi.

Claude Shooting Borrtey’s first-half brace set the tone before Richmond Opoku sealed the victory, lifting Apostles’ confidence in the relegation battle.

One of the biggest results of the weekend came in Tamale, where Karela United FC stunned league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars FC with a 2-0 victory.

First-half goals from Mohammed Awal Alhassan and Felix Mortu ended Gold Stars’ stay at the top, underlining Karela’s formidable home form and reshuffling the title race.

Aduana FC and Asante Kotoko SC played out a tense goalless draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park at Dormaa.

Despite Aduana’s dominance in possession and chances, neither side could find the breakthrough, leaving both teams still within touching distance but missing a key opportunity to close the gap on the leaders.

In Samreboi, Bechem United claimed a vital 2-1 away win over FC Samartex 1996.

Early goals from Samuel Okai and Yaw Annor proved decisive, as Samartex’s struggles continued despite a late first-half response.

Nations FC maintained their unbeaten home record with a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea. Samuel Tenadu gave the visitors the lead, but Brandon Antwi’s late equalizer ensured the points were shared.

With Medeama SC reclaiming top spot earlier in the round, results elsewhere have tightened the race at the summit, while the battle to avoid relegation remains fiercely contested.

As the season heads into its final stretch, every point continues to carry enormous significance.
