Asante Kotoko closed the year in emphatic fashion, delivering a ruthless 6–0 demolition of Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to surge to the top of the Premier League table. It was Kotoko’s biggest win in several seasons and a clear statement of intent under Karim Zito.

Morrison Donzo set the tone early with a ninth-minute opener before Samba O’Neil doubled the lead midway through the first half. The Porcupine Warriors showed no mercy after the break, with goals from Hubert Gyau, Johnson Owusu (twice), and Kwame Opoku completing a stunning afternoon. The victory sent Kotoko top of the standings, while Bechem United slipped deeper into relegation trouble.

Swedru All Blacks were held to a 1–1 draw by Karela United at the Swedru Sports Stadium, despite dominating large spells of the contest. Ayikabia Solomon Anyork Nereba gave the hosts the lead, but Malik Abubakar struck back six minutes later to earn Karela a valuable away point.

Basake Holy Stars ended the year on a high with a composed 2–0 win over Hohoe United. Prince Tweneboah opened the scoring before Simba Sylvester sealed the victory in the second half, lifting Holy Stars to 10th place and pushing Hohoe United into the relegation zone.

In Wenchi, Aduana FC showed resilience to snatch a dramatic 2–2 draw against Young Apostles. Richmond Opoku and Samuel Peprah had put the hosts two goals ahead late on, but Charles Gyamfi Camara and Daouda Ben Sidibe struck in the closing moments to rescue a crucial point for Aduana.

The thriller of the weekend unfolded at Dun’s Park, where Bibiani Gold Stars came from 2–0 down to beat Dreams FC 3–2.

Abdul Razak Salifu’s scored first before Mohammed Shaban added the second to put the visitors in control, but Gold Stars mounted a spirited comeback after the break, scoring three unanswered goals,  including a late winner, to maintain their perfect home record and stay fifth on the table.

Barimah Kwame Baah’s sensational brace, capped by a dramatic injury-time winner and preceded by Emmanuel Agyei’s 78th-minute equaliser, sealed a remarkable comeback for the champions.

Dreams FC remain winless away from home and drop to 15th.

Berekum Chelsea strengthened their survival push with an impressive 3–1 victory over Eleven Wonders at the Golden City Park in their Premier League matchday 16 clash on Sunday.

Despite dominating the early stages, Chelsea were briefly stunned when William Danquah scored against the run of play in the 15th minute to give bottom-placed Eleven Wonders a surprise lead. The hosts responded swiftly, drawing level just two minutes later after Prince Anane calmly converted from the penalty spot.

Chelsea grew in confidence and controlled proceedings thereafter, eventually turning their dominance into goals after the break. Samed Nasri Musah put the Bibires ahead in the 63rd before Kwasi Sorotu Badori sealed the victory in stoppage time.

The result provides a significant boost for Chelsea’s survival hopes, while Eleven Wonders remain rooted at the foot of the table.
