28 year old defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is linked to a move to Lazio this Summer. The player from Ukraine who joined Arsenal in 2022 is expected to leave Arsenal. He is seen as a player who is good on the ball and can play multiple roles. Zinchenko is a key player of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal team. He has Helped the Gunners to compete for top positions in the league. A player of his capability and experience is troubled with injuries due to which he has lost his spot at Arsenal. Players like Lewis Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori have taken this opportunity to grab the fullback spot for the London based club.

According to some reports, Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri wants Zinchenko in a wing back role in his 3-5-2 system. The player from Ukraine is good with the ball and can play multiple roles. He can play as a Left back and Central midfielder. Lazio see him as a player who can attack and defend really well. Sarri believe Zinchenko brings calmness and experience to the team. He is also seen as a consistent performer. According to sources, Lazio are in contact with Zinchenko’s agent. The club from Italy will have to present a good project and wages to sign him. Lazio are serious and are expected to make efforts for the signing. A permanent deal is hard to make, but a Loan deal seems like the perfect option. Loan deal would enable Lazio to get a top player with less financial risk.

Arsenal are open to sell Zinchenko in this summer transfer window. His contracts ends in June 2026 and the club will prefer to sell him now rather than losing him for free next year. Zinchenko has lost his spot in the team due to injuries and other players have grabbed this opportunity. Lewis Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori have impressed the Arsenal manager making Zinchenko lose his spot. Arsenal also want to reduce their wage bill and create space for new players. Selling Zinchenko can benefit Arsenal in many ways. The club can earn money from the Transfer and balances the squad while creating space for new signings. Arsenal respect his service and will not stand in his way if he wants a new challenge.

Zinchenko is thinking seriously about his future. He want to play regularly especially with the World cup in 2026 and Euros coming in 2028. The 28 year old full-back from Ukraine knows this is an important time in his career. He does not want to sit on the bench waiting for a chance. A move to a club like Lazio can guarantee him playing time that he needs. Sources in Italy suggest that he would like to play in Italy especially under Coach Sarri and his system. Zinchenko is attracting interest from other clubs, Lazio remains a favourite as they offer him a clear role. However leaving Arsenal would be a big and emotional decision for him.

Zinchenko leaving Arsenal to join Lazio is a win-win situation for all. Zinchenko will get the guaranteed playing time he wants. Arsenal can clean their bills and squad. Lazio get a top player with less risk. Zinchenko would also perform good in the slow-paced Serie A. Zinchenko would be open to the move as he wants to stay in shape for the Major National tournaments that are coming in the next few years. The situation will become clear in the next few days, and this period is crucial for all the parties involved in the discussion. It would be interesting to see a Loan deal to be agreed between the clubs.
