The stakes are high today, 21 May, as it’s the battle for the remaining playoff spot with five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) battling against the Delhi Capitals (DC).

With three teams confirmed for the playoffs, it’s now either MI or DC as the fourth team to join Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PBKS). MI are on 14 points while DC are on 13 points. The last time these two teams collided, MI took the win.

Pitch Report

The batting-friendly pitch of the Wankhede Stadium is expected to offer a high-scoring game.

Head-to-Head

Over 36 IPL matches have been played between them, in which MI hold a bit of an upper hand with 20 wins. DC have had 16 successful wins.

Top 3 Fantasy Picks

Suryakumar Yadav (MI)

As the highest run-scorer of MI, Yadav’s skills with the bat have been his strong point and have brought force to the team.

KL Rahul (DC)

His addition to DC this season has been very promising, with his century scored in the last match against GT. Scoring 112 runs off 65 balls, the wicket-keeper-cum-batter remains an influential player in DC’s prominence this season.

Trent Boult (MI)

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Boult has brought bowling dominance to the field, taking 18 wickets successfully so far in this competition. He is one such bowler that DC batters have to be careful of, especially during the powerplay.

Fantasy XI

Axar Patel (C), KL Rahul (WK), Rohit Sharma, Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Mustafizur Rahman, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs, Hardik Pandya (VC).
