Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton, who is also a Liverpool and Chelsea target, this summer.

Wharton, 21, has emerged as one of the most talented midfielders in the Premier League over the past 12 months. He has assisted five goals in 42 total outings for the Eagles since leaving Blackburn Rovers in a potential £22 million deal in January 2024.

Now, according to Caught Offside, Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Wharton’s situation at Palace. Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim is believed to be a big admirer of the left-footed holding midfielder.

However, Manchester United are expected to face stiff competition from both Liverpool and the Blues. On the other hand, Palace are keen to offer Wharton a new deal in an attempt to persuade him to stay at the club.

Wharton, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal, Manchester City, and Newcastle United, has a deal until June 2029. The Liverpool target is a one-cap England international as well.

Ahead of Chelsea‘s home league match against Manchester United this Friday, Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher shared his thoughts on the Blues’ season. He said on Sky Sports (h/t Metro):

Predicting the top five in the Premier League this term, Carragher said:

Earlier this term, Carragher opined on the west London side (h/t Metro):

Enzo Maresca’s side are in fifth spot in the 2024-25 Premier League table with 63 points from 36 matches. They will visit Nottingham Forest on May 25 after hosting the Red Devils this Friday (May 16).

Aston Villa are on 63 points while Nottingham Forest are on 62 points.
