Manchester United legend Gary Neville has explained why it is ‘hard’ for Manchester City teammates to play alongside Enzo Fernandez despite him being an ‘outstanding’ player. The comments were made after the Manchester derby, where City secured a 1-0 win in controversial fashion.
Phil Foden picked up a straight red card as early as the 23rd minute, when he planted his studs on Bruno Fernandes’ midriff. The Manchester United captain had a kick out at Foden in the build-up to the incident but the referee failed to spot it and with no intervention from VAR, the Portuguese went unpunished.
