The Northern Zone of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League delivered plenty of goals and drama on Matchday 18, highlighted by impressive wins for Dreamz Ladies, Tamale Super Ladies, Kumasi Sports Academy, Ashtown Ladies, and Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The most dramatic encounter of the round saw Ampem Darkoa Ladies edge Fosu Royal Ladies 4-3 in a thrilling goal fest. Martha Vetsi (14’) opened the scoring before Priscilla S. Agyeman (49’, 63’) added a brace.

An own goal by Patience Berchie Afriyie (65’) and a late strike from Amina Adams (86’) helped secure the win despite Fosu Royal’s late fightback through Patricia Agyei (85’) and Anita Yeboah (87’).

Dreamz Ladies put in a commanding display to defeat Northern City Ladies 5-2. Sarah Nyarko led the charge with goals in the 13th and 69th minutes, while Lydia Agyapong (46’), Precious Asante (78’), and Alice Sarpong (84’) added to the tally. Northern City Ladies replied through Rashida Shahadu (26’) and Barikisu Abdul (38’, penalty).

Tamale Super Ladies also impressed with a 3-1 victory over Prisons Ladies. Goals from Alhassan Asana (27’), Rabiatu Maliti (60’), and Abida Zakari (71’) sealed the win, while Rebecca Boison (63’) scored Prisons Ladies’ consolation goal.

Kumasi Sports Academy claimed a narrow 1-0 win against FC Savannah, courtesy of Linda Sarpong’s 48th-minute strike, which proved decisive.

Ashtown Ladies also secured a 1-0 victory over Northern Ladies, with Kezia Akua Asantewaa scoring the winning goal in the 21st minute.
