In their final league match of IPL 2025, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will aim to spoil Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) hopes of securing a top-two finish. LThe two sides will clash at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

RCB enter the contest with their fate in their own hands — a win will take them to 19 points and ensure a spot in Qualifier 1, whether they end up first or second on the table. For LSG, however, the outcome won’t impact their position in the standings, making this a dead rubber for them.

Should LSG manage a win on Tuesday, RCB would slip to third place and be forced to play the Eliminator — a scenario reminiscent of last season, when they were knocked out by Rajasthan Royals at the same stage. With a place in the top two still up for grabs, RCB face added pressure going into this match.

Pitch Report

The surface for this game is expected to be a mixed-soil pitch — a blend of red and black soil — which generally offers good conditions for batting. A recent clash at this venue between SRH and RCB turned out to be a high-scoring affair, suggesting another run-fest could be on the cards.Ā

Head-to-Head

RCB hold a slight edge in their rivalry with LSG, leading 3-2 in five previous encounters. Notably, RCB also won the only match played at this venue between the two sides in 2023.

Weather Forecast

There’s no threat of rain, but the heat is expected to be intense, with temperatures crossing 36°C and high humidity levels making for a sweltering evening in Lucknow.

Match Prediction

RCB looks like a more balanced team heading into this match. With the return of Josh Hazlewood strengthening their bowling attack, they are the favourites to come out on top.

Where to watch

Live coverage will be available on the Star Sports Network, and the match can be streamed on the JioCinema app and website.
