Defending champions Asante Kotoko will renew their rivalry with King Faisal in the Round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup as the two sides face each other at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Asante Kotoko progressed to this stage after staging a massive comeback to beat Future Stars 2-1 in the Round of 64, while King Faisal defeated PAC Academy to make it to the Round of 32.

The Porcupine Warriors come into the match fresh from a 2-1 loss to Swedru All Blacks in the Ghana Premier League. Coach Karim Zito, a two-time winner of the title as a coach, is aiming to go past King Faisal to make it to the Round of 16 – and also to brighten their chances of a silverware this season.

There’s another tough match to look forward to at Swedru, where All Blacks face off with Division One League campaigners Sefwi All Stars.

Two-time winner Medeama SC will welcome Bibiani Gold Stars to the T&A Park, while Heart of Lions take on Na God FC, as Tamale City clash with Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Winners of these matches will progress to the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup.
