In their final league match of the IPL 2025 season, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) faced last year’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The standout performer was Heinrich Klaasen, who played a blistering unbeaten knock of 105 off just 39 deliveries. Abhishek Sharma (32 off 16) and Ishan Kishan (29 off 20) provided strong support at the top. Klaasen’s explosive finish helped SRH register one of the highest totals of the season.
KKR’s bowlers endured a tough outing. Sunil Narine and Vaibhav Arora were the only wicket-takers, with Narine claiming two and Arora taking one. The rest—Anrich Nortje, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, and Andre Russell—were all expensive and struggled to contain the run flow.
This match marked the end of Klaasen’s IPL 2025 campaign, and he finished in style. The South African batter closed the season with 487 runs in 14 innings at an average of 44.27 and an impressive strike rate of 172.69—an improvement over his previous season, underlining his consistency and power-hitting prowess.
