The 2025 KGL Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship will kick off on Thursday, September 19, and run through Friday, September 27,2025, featuring an expanded lineup of 12 teams.
This prestigious youth tournament will showcase U17 colts teams from all 10 football regions of Ghana, along with two GFA Elite Academy sides. Sponsored by the KGL Foundation, the competition is a cornerstone of the Football Association’s youth development strategy, offering a national stage to identify and nurture the country’s most promising juvenile football talent.
Each Regional Football Association (RFA) will field a team comprising the best U17 players selected from its district and zonal competitions. They will be joined by the Northern Academy (Bolgatanga) and Southern Academy (Greater Accra), ensuring a strong and diverse field.
The championship will unfold at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, beginning with group-stage matches and progressing to knockout rounds before a grand finale crowns the 2025 national champions. Scouts, coaches and technical directors are expected to attend, eager to spot Ghana’s next generation of stars.
With the theme “Power to the Youth,” the Football Association and KGL Foundation remain dedicated to providing structured competition, quality coaching and vital exposure for young footballers.
