Greater Accra have climbed to the summit of Group A in the 2025 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship after collecting five points from their opening two matches.

The capital-based side hold a narrow advantage over Volta Region, who sit second with four points.

Defending champions Western Region occupy third place, level on points with Volta but trailing on goal difference. Northern Region follow in fourth with three points, while Upper West are fifth on two points. Elite Academy (Bolga) remain at the foot of the table, yet to register a point.

Now in its fifth year, the KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Championship continues to shine as Ghana’s premier platform for emerging football talent. This year’s expanded 12-team competition features all ten Regional Football Associations alongside the GFA Elite Academies, providing a vibrant stage for the nation’s brightest prospects.

The 2025 edition is already living up to its reputation for high-quality football and exciting new talent, with numerous tournament alumni having progressed to Ghana’s junior national teams and into the country’s domestic leagues.
