KGL U17 Colts 2025: Central Region complete dramatic revival to top Group B

Central Region produced a stunning turnaround to claim top spot in Group B of the 2025 KGL U17 Inter-Regional Colts Championship at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Wednesday.

The in-form side finished with 12 points, three clear of second-placed Ashanti Region, to seal their place in the semi-finals.

Brong Ahafo matched Ashanti’s nine points but narrowly missed out on qualification due to an inferior goal difference.

Last year’s runners-up, Eastern Region, ended fourth with six points, while Elite Academy (Accra) followed in fifth on five. Upper East Region rounded off the group in sixth with four points after a testing campaign.

The decisive results confirm Central Region as Group B champions and secure their passage to the last four alongside Western Region, who advanced from Group A, setting up an exciting knockout stage in Ghana’s premier youth football competition.
