Jonina Ladies delivered a commanding performance on Matchday 15 of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, securing a dominant 3-0 victory over Halifax Queens. The hosts broke the deadlock just past the twenty-minute mark. Sekinatu Amadu stepped up confidently to convert from the penalty spot, giving Jonina a well-deserved lead. Abena Bawa found the back of the net in the 35th minute, sending her team into the break with a comfortable 2-0 advantage. The second half saw no let-up in intensity from Jonina Ladies. Antoinette Adabio got in on the act in the 53rd minute, slotting home to make it 3-0 and effectively putting the game beyond doubt. Despite efforts from Halifax Queens to find a foothold in the match, Jonina’s defense held firm to secure a clean sheet. The impressive 3-0 win sees Jonina Ladies claim all three points in style.

Army Ladies beat Ladystrikers keep the title race alive

Army Ladies secured a 2-1 win over Ladystrikers on Matchday 15 of the Women’s Premier League – keeping their title charge alive. Harriet Akoukor Adjetey gave Army Ladies the lead in the 18th minute before Comfort Siaw made it two in the 57th minute. Ladystrikers managed to pull one back through Asana Hamidu in the final minutes, but it wasn’t enough to earn them even a point from the match. Army Ladies remain 2nd on the table with 30 points, and with three points separating them and league leaders Hasaacas Ladies, they remain firmly in contention for the league title.

Oaks Ladies secure crucial victory, end seven-match winless run

Elsewhere in Kpobiman, Oaks Ladies secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Epiphany Warriors at the Kpobiman Sports Complex, ending their seven-match winless run. The debutants showed great determination, and their efforts paid off in the 34th minute when Seidatu Wahab fired a powerful long-range strike to give the home side the lead. That goal proved to be the difference as Oaks Ladies held on to claim all three points. The victory lifts the team out of the relegation zone for now, bringing their tally to 16 points after 15 matches played.
