Newcastle have been long-term admirers of João Pedro and attempted to sign him from Watford before he moved to Brighton. Their interest has never faded, as Eddie Howe looks to bolster his squad after a tough, injury-hit campaign, and the Magpies now prepare to go back in for their former target.
The club’s approach in this window is focusing upon young, Premier League-proven talent.
