IPL: 5 records held by MI that may never be broken

When it comes to dominance in the Indian Premier League, few franchises can match the legacy of Mumbai Indians. Being the most successful team alongside Chennai Super Kings with five IPL titles to their name, MI have built their reputation on consistency and big-match temperament.

Over the years, Mumbai Indians have not just won trophies, they have set benchmarks in the tournament. Some of these records are so extraordinary that they feel almost untouchable, even in a tournament known for its unpredictability and evolution.

On that note, let’s take a look at five such records held by MI that seem nearly impossible to break:

The most successful IPL franchise ever, Mumbai Indians, lead the chart in the prestigious list of hitting most sixes in IPL’s history. Many legendary six-hitters, including Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, and Suryakumar Yadav, among many have contributed to MI’s tally.

In 277 matches the Mumbai Indians batters have scored a staggering 1823 sixes in the world’s premier T20 league. No other team is close in this list, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru being a distance second with 1774 sixes. With the gap so huge, it will not be easy for any other team to break MI’s record.
