Rajasthan Royals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by seven wickets in the Indian Premier League 2026 match on May 19 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Batting first, LSG posted a strong total of 220/5 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh led the charge with a fluent 96 off 57 balls, smashing 11 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 168.42. Josh Inglis provided explosive support, scoring 60 off just 29 deliveries, including 7 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 206.90. For Rajasthan, Yash Raj Punja claimed 2/35 in his four-over spell.

In response, RR chased down the target in 19.1 overs, finishing at 225/3. Vaibhav Suryavanshi starred with a blistering 93 off 38 balls, hitting 7 fours and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 244.74. Dhruv Jurel anchored the chase with an unbeaten 53 off 38 balls, striking 3 fours and 3 sixes.

With this win, Rajasthan Royals climbed to fourth place with seven wins in 13 matches, while Lucknow Super Giants suffered their ninth defeat in 13 games.

LSG openers Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis took the attack to the Rajasthan Royals bowlers right from the start and never allowed them to settle into rhythm. The duo stitched together a blazing 109-run partnership in just 50 balls for the opening wicket. Marsh played a commanding knock of 96 off 57 balls, while Inglis provided explosive support with 60 off 29 balls, setting the platform for a dominant batting display.

Jaiswal starts in top gear for RR

Rajasthan Royals captain Yashasvi Jaiswal came out all guns blazing from the very first over. He scored 43 runs in quick time, calmly dissecting the field with precision and intent. His knock included eight boundaries, giving RR a flying start inside the powerplay.

Sooryavanshi turns up the heat with explosive knock

After the dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi walked in and immediately shifted the momentum with an ultra-aggressive approach. He launched a breathtaking counterattack, smashing 93 runs off just 38 balls, including 10 towering sixes. Batting at a strike rate of over 240, Sooryavanshi made scoring look effortless and relentless, completely taking the LSG bowlers apart and not allowing them any control over the run flow.
