The Punjab Kings (PBKS) secured a six-wicket victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match No. 17 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on April 11 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.

Batting first, SRH posted a formidable 219/6 in their 20 overs, powered by a sensational 74 off 28 balls from Abhishek Sharma, which included five fours and eight sixes. Despite the strong total, PBKS bowlers pulled things back effectively, with Arshdeep Singh and Shashank Singh picking up two wickets each.

In reply, PBKS delivered a dominant batting performance to chase down the target with seven balls to spare. The innings was built on a blazing start from Priyansh Arya (57 off 20) and Prabhsimran Singh (51 off 25), who added a quickfire opening stand. Skipper Shreyas Iyer then anchored the chase with a composed unbeaten 69 off 33 balls, ensuring there were no late hiccups.

For SRH, Shivang Kumar was the standout performer with the ball, claiming three wickets with his spin.
