IPL 2026: Match 9, GT vs RR Match Prediction – Who will win today’s IPL match between Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals?
SHARE

In Match No. 9 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Gujarat Titans (GT) will be hosting the might of Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on Saturday, April 04.

Gujarat Titans had to end up on the losing side in their campaign opener against Punjab Kings, where the hosts comfortably chased down the 163-run target set by the tourists. The Shubman Gill-led side looked good in phases but will have to consolidate their patches into unison before things start getting from bad to worse.

Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, got off the mark with a comprehensive victory against Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati. In the upcoming match, the Royals will be playing their first away game of the season, which might make things tricky for them despite a confident start. The Riyan Parag-led side will have to play the cards to make things fall in place on Saturday as well.

Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad: Pitch Report

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad isn’t an ideal ground for teams that prefer batting second. As the trend was witnessed during the 2025 season of the tournament, seven out of the nine games played here were won by the teams defending their first-innings’ total. Pacers are expected to generate assistance, while batters will get full value for their shots due to a quick spread in the outfield.

GT vs RR: Probable Best Performers of the Match

Probable Best Batter: Vaibhav Suryavanshi

There is no stopping the 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi at the moment, it seems. His mindset to attack the ball right from the word-go makes him a crucial asset for the Royals. His opening partnership alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal will be extremely crucial in the upcoming contest, where the youngster is expected to play the role of an aggressor, while the senior batter is expected to carry a slightly cautious approach.

Probable Best Bowler: Mohammed Siraj

The pitch at Motera has a tendency to offer added assistance to pace bowlers, especially during night games. Mohammed Siraj can be a very handy bowler in these conditions, and with his ability to strike early breakthroughs, GT would be banking upon the Hyderabad-born pacer to deliver the goods with his four-over spell on Saturday as well.
