Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) square off against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in match no. 31 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Tuesday, April 21.

The Orange Army find themselves at No. 4 on the points table, having won three games and lost as many. All three of their wins came while defending totals. They have registered victories against the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings in their last two matches.

Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen, and Ishan Kishan have been the star performers with the bat for SRH. However, Travis Head hasn’t come to the party yet. In the bowling department, SRH have backed uncapped pacers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain and they have done well in the last two matches.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals are just behind Hyderabad on the points table at No. 5. Axar Patel and Co. have three wins and two defeats after five games. All three of their wins came while chasing targets. In their most recent game, they defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets.

KL Rahul has batted with positive intent at the top of the order and so has Pathum Nissanka. Sameer Rizvi started the season with a bang but has been dismissed cheaply in the last few games. However, the combination of Tristan Stubbs and David Miller brings experience and class in the middle order for the Delhi-based franchise. In the bowling department, Lungi Ngidi has been the cynosue, with seven scalps from five games.

Pitch Report: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad has hosted three games so far in IPL 2026. The average first innings score has been around 189. Two out of the three games have been won while batting first. The captain who wins the toss would still want to chase as defending targets isn’t very easy at this high-scoring venue.
