IPL 2026: Final, RCB vs GT Match Prediction – Who will win today's IPL match?

Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will clash with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the grand finale of the IPL 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Following their closely contested league stage where both teams finished on 18 points, RCB booked a direct ticket to the summit clash with a ruthless 92-run victory over GT in Qualifier 1 at Dharamshala.

Gujarat Titans, written off early in the season, bounced back after a disappointing Qualifier 1 by eliminating the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 to set up this ultimate, high-stakes rematch on their home turf.

Whoever wins this match will secure their second IPL title and will also join Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Chennai Super Kings in the club of multiple time winners.

Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad Pitch Report

The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the IPL 2026 final is expected to be a highly batting-friendly surface. The stadium’s iconic red-soil tracks provide true bounce and carry, allowing batters to comfortably play through the line and score quickly right from the first ball. Teams batting first on this flat surface generally look to cross the 210 run mark to put up a competitive total, though scores above 200-run mark can be chased down.

RCB vs GT Probable Best Performers of the Match

Probable Best Batter: Shubman Gill

GT’s inspirational captain Shubman Gill will be the batter to watch out for in this summit clash. The 26-year-old has been tremendous this year so far, and took his team over the line single handedly against Rajasthan Royals in qualifier 2 with a stunning century. His insane records in the IPL playoffs suggests that pressure does not faze him. On the home surface of Ahmedabad, GT would hope that their captain will lit up the stage one final time this season.

Probable Best Bowler: Bhuvneshwar Kumar

It has been a vintage Bhuvneshwar Kumar show in IPL 2026 so far. The veteran has been RCB’s best player this season with some scintillating outings with the ball. He has picked up 26 wickets with an economy rate of just 8.00 in 15 matches for the defending champions. Even in qualifier 1, he was brilliant against GT, picking up two wickets in his quota. The two-time Purple Cap winner would want to turn up on a big day for his side.
