Mumbai Indians (MI) confirmed their place in the IPL 2025 playoffs with a strong win over Delhi Capitals (DC) yesterday, 21 May. Mitchell Santner was the star with the ball, along with Jasprit Bumrah, who bowled tightly and got important breakthroughs. Suryakumar Yadav shone bright as usual.
IPL 2025 Points Table
The top four teams are now officially confirmed for the IPL 2025 Playoffs. Gujarat Titans (GT) continue to dominate at the top of the points table with 18 points. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) follow closely in second place with 17 points. Punjab Kings (PBKS), also with 17 points, hold the third spot. Mumbai Indians (MI) clinch the final playoff spot at number four with 16 points.
With Delhi Capitals (DC) officially eliminated from the race for the playoffs, they remain in fifth position with 13 points. Following them, the already eliminated teams are Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in sixth with 12 points, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in seventh with 10 points, and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in eighth with 9 points. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) occupy the bottom two spots.
IPL 2025 – Orange Cap List
Sai Sudharsan holds the first position with 617 runs, closely followed by skipper Shubman Gill with 601 runs. MI’s Suryakumar Yadav moved to the third spot after yesterday’s match against DC, with 583 runs. RR’s promising youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal drops to fourth with 559 runs, and RCB’s Virat Kohli rounds out the top five with 505 runs.
IPL 2025 – Purple Cap List
After MI dominated in yesterday’s match against DC, the race for the Purple Cap took an intense turn. GT’s Prasidh Krishna remains at the top with 21 wickets, but CSK’s Noor Ahmad is also on 21 wickets. MI’s Trent Boult climbed to the third spot with 19 wickets, overtaking RCB’s Josh Hazlewood, who now sits fourth with 18 wickets. KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy completes the top five with 17 wickets.
