With this, he equalled a record which only Temba Bavuma has managed to achieve when it comes to men’s T20 cricket.
This was Suryakumar’s 13th innings for MI in IPL 2025. It was also the 13th consecutive instance of the dynamic batter registering a score exceeding the 25-run mark. Bavuma was the first professional cricketer to achieve such a feat. The South African batter accomplished the milestone in February 2020. Bavuma’s 13 innings comprised eight domestic matches and five international ones.
