The IPL 2025 Playoffs battle has been whittled down to a tussle between three teams after Sunday’s double-header contests. Punjab Kings victory over the Rajasthan Royals ensured the qualification of themselves, the Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The three teams remain in a race to finish in the top-two, but a contest is on between the three teams following them on the standings for the fourth and final spot in the Playoffs.

, and remain in contention for a Playoffs spot after four teams have been eliminated from the competition.

Mumbai Indians – 14 points

Best possible finish: 18 points

The recent blip against has put Mumbai in a precarious situation. They cannot afford any slip-ups, but ’s superior Net Run Rate (NRR) could offer some cushion. If they are to win only one game from here, MI will hope it comes up against the Delhi Capitals, so as to prevent them from catching up on the table. In such a scenario, can only match them with wins in their remaining games. Even then, Lucknow will put on a superb effort to wipe out MI’s command on NRR. However, MI can seal their Playoffs berth on their own, should they win both of their remaining fixtures.

Delhi Capitals – 13 points

Best possible finish: 17 points

A Wednesday showdown against MI could most likely seal the fate of the Playoffs spot for Delhi. Should they emerge victorious, can seal the Playoffs berth with a win over or hope that LSG do not make it 3/3 from here on.

Lucknow Super Giants – 10 points

Best possible finish – 16 points

LSG can only keep their hopes alive by winning all three remaining fixtures, starting with Monday’s clash against . With no contests lined up against either MI or DC, LSG will need some fortune to pour in from other results to make it through to the last-four.
