Operation Sindoor, India’s response to Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, has impacted the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The said operation has led to shutdown of multiple airports in Northern India, including the Chandigarh airport, which has put the home games of Punjab Kings under doubt. Punjab Kings have two more games scheduled at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, with Delhi Capitals set to play there on May 8 and Mumbai Indians on May 11.
As per the BCCI sources, Punjab Kings’ match against Mumbai Indians is set to be shifted to Navi Mumbai. As for the game against Delhi Capitals, it will most likely be rescheduled due to sudden the turn of events
Mumbai Indians, who were scheduled to fly to Dharamsala via Chandigarh on May 7, will not travel as per schedule as their flights have been cancelled. The franchise is awaiting instructions from the BCCI as per a Cricbuzz report.

āThe match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings shifted to Mumbai from Dharmshala, as the Airport of Dharmshala has been closed, and the match was scheduled on May 11,” a BCCI source said.
āThe match schedule between DC and PBKS tomorrow is also in danger as BCCI realises Dharamshala is near the border, and the board is in touch with the government and waiting to get clearance for the match,” the source added.
