SRH bowled brilliantly and restricted DC to a total of 133/7 in the 55th match of the IPL 2025. A great spell from Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat, coupled with handy spells from Eshan Malinga, Harshal Patel, Abhishek Sharma, and Zeeshan Ansari, meant SRH bowlers proved their captain’s decision to bowl first was right. For DC, Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs were the saving grace with the bat.
Pat Cummins bowled arguably the best spell of his IPL career. Due to Mohammed Shami’s failures to claim wickets with the new ball, the SRH skipper started himself and wasted no time to have an impact. Cummins dismissed Karun Nair, Faf Du Plessis, and Abhishek Porel within the powerplay overs.

The DC batters had to build their innings from there. Neither Axar Patel nor KL Rahul was able to do that. Tristan Stubbs and Vipraj Nigam tried to revive DC’s innings. However, a miscommunication between the duo led to Nigam’s run out. The onus was on Stubbs to take DC to a good total.
While he anchored the rest of the innings, it was Ashutosh Sharma, whose innings helped DC to post a good total of 133/7 on the board. While Sharma scored 41(26), Stubbs remained unbeaten with a score of 41*(36). For SRH, Cummins claimed 3/19, while Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, and Eshan Malinga claimed a wicket each.
