The Ghana Football Association has conducted integrity training for match commissioners to ensure fair play and transparency in Ghanaian football.
The sessions, led by GFA Integrity Officer Obed Tuffour, provided commissioners with vital knowledge on spotting match fixing, match manipulation, and betting-related corruption. Participants learned to recognise unusual patterns and behaviours that might signal foul play during matches.
The training stressed the importance of reporting any suspected cases of match manipulation to the correct investigative authorities.
Match commissioners received guidance on how to report confidentially and the channels available for raising concerns. As important match officials, commissioners play a key role in protecting the integrity of the game and maintaining Ghana football’s reputation.
All participating match commissioners signed integrity declarations, confirming their commitment to uphold the sport’s values and report suspicious activities.
