Following his disappointing first-round exit at the US Open, Djokovic rebounded strongly with a 6-3, 7-6(2) win over Nuno Borges in his opening match in Beijing. However, the Serb was forced to dig deep in his second-round encounter against Bu, mounting an impressive comeback to claim a 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-2 victory.
