Patrice Evra has taken a playful dig at his former Manchester United teammate Park Ji-Sung on Instagram after dining with his father in Korea. In the caption, Evra claimed that he doesn’t require the former Manchester United midfielder to visit Korea because his father has a better company. The caption read:
Patrice Evra and Park Ji-Sung played together at Old Trafford between 2006 and 2012. The two played 133 games together under Sir Alex Ferguson, winning four Premier League titles, three League Cups and the UEFA Champions League title during that time.
The former South Korean midfielder joined PSV Eindhoven from the Red Devils in July 2012 and later retired in 2014 while playing for Queens Park Rangers. Meanwhile, Evra left United in 2014 to join Serie A giants Juventus and eventually retired from his professional career in 2018.
New Manchester United signing Matheus Cunha has claimed that playing for the Red Devils has been his childhood dream. The Brazilian attacker, who joined the Old Trafford outfit from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a reported fee of £62.5 million, completed his medical at United’s training facility on Thursday (June 12).
Cunha has signed a five-year deal with the Premier League giants, with an option of a further 12-month extension. After completing the medical, he said (via BBC Sport):
The Brazilian attacker joined Wolves from La Liga side Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2023 after a successful season on loan at the Molineux. Cunha scored 33 goals and provided 15 assists for Wolves in 92 appearances across all competitions.
