Former Tottenham defender Alan Hutton has claimed Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold would “thrive” at Chelsea, insisting that Xabi Alonso would get the best out of him.
Alexander-Arnold has started just one of Real Madrid’s last six matches and was an unused substitute in the 3-2 Champions League win at AEK Athens on Wednesday. Denzel Dumfries has moved ahead of him in the pecking order, and José Mourinho has also used Federico Valverde at right-back, including in the El Clásico win against Barcelona on October 25.
