Hasaacas Ladies and Army Ladies battle for top spot in Matchday 14 clash

The Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League serves up a massive title showdown this weekend as league leaders Hasaacas Ladies travel to Teshie’s MATS Park to face second-placed Army Ladies in a highly anticipated Matchday 14 fixture. With both sides locked on 27 points after 13 games, this encounter will significantly influence the trajectory of the Southern Zone title race.

The stakes could not be higher. Hasaacas Ladies currently sit at the summit of the table, but they hold their position purely on goal difference. Hot on their heels is Army Ladies, who are eager to leverage their home advantage to dethrone the “Doo Ladies” and claim the top spot for themselves.

In their last meeting, the spoils were shared in a goalless draw, and five of their last seven encounters have seen under 1.5 goals. Army Ladies will be looking to improve their scoring form at home to break down a resilient Hasaacas defense.

Police Ladies vs Jonina Ladies

Defending champions Police Ladies will host Jonina Ladies this Saturday in what promises to be an exciting clash. Police Ladies head into this fixture on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Epiphany Warriors. This narrow win will boost their confidence as they look to strengthen their position on the table. Jonina Ladies, on the other hand, suffered a 2–1 defeat to Ladystrikers in their previous outing and will be eager to bounce back and return to winning ways. Both sides are evenly matched on points after 13 matches played, with Police Ladies occupying 4th position with a +8-goal difference, while Jonina Ladies sit 5th with a +6-goal difference. With so little separating the two teams, Saturday’s encounter could be a decisive battle in the race up the league table.

Epiphany Warriors VS Samartex Ladies

The Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League Southern Zone is heating up. Epiphany Warriors, aiming for a top three spot, host FC Samartex Ladies at Madina Astro Turf this weekend. The Warriors, known for their clinical offensive transitions and impenetrable defense, want to use their home ground to maintain pressure on the visitors. Samartex Ladies, fresh from their debut top-flight campaign, are in the lower half of the table and desperate for a positive result to avoid relegation. After a poor run of away games, they need to find a way to break through one of the league’s most disciplined defenses to spark a late-season comeback.

Soccer Intellectuals vrs Oak Ladies FC

Stakes are high as newcomers Oak FC make a short trip to Senya Astro Turf to play as guests to Soccer Intellectuals. It is an uncompromising fixture as the two teams battle relegation. The venue is not new to the visitors, Oak FC, as it is a familiar pitch where they gained qualification into the elite league. The hosts may bid farewell to elite football should they drop a point against the visitors. Oak is in dire need of maximum points to consolidate their stay in the league. When the two teams clashed in the first leg, the visitors edged the hosts by a lone goal. The game is too close to call, but either team may run away with a slim win.

Halifax Queens vrs Ladystrikers

It’s a crucial Southern Zone showdown in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League as Halifax Queens lock horns with Ladystrikers. Ladystrikers come into this clash with momentum and attacking confidence, while Halifax will be eager to bounce back and tighten up defensively as they sit lower on the league log.
