Gujarat Titans (GT) will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at their home ground, Narendra Modi Stadium, today, 22 May, in the IPL 2025. GT have already qualified for the playoffs, but their finish in the top two is not yet assured. GT need to win both of its remaining games to secure a top-two finish. LSG are out of the playoff race. GT have already lost to LSG earlier this season, which was one of their only three defeats.

Pitch Report

The pitch at Narendra Modi Stadium is batting-friendly and could offer a high-scoring encounter. The surface is also expected to assist fast bowlers more, and dew could play a major role in the second innings.

Head-to-Head

GT and LSG have faced each other six times in the IPL. Out of those six games, GT have dominated with four wins, while LSG have won two.

Top 3 Fantasy Picks

Sai Sudharsan (GT)

The current Orange Cap holder, Sai Sudharsan, would be an asset to any fantasy team as he has been in brilliant form throughout the season. His unbeaten century and record-breaking partnership with Shubman Gill in their last match were a visual treat. In that game, he scored 108* runs off 61 balls.

Mitchell Marsh (LSG)

Mitchell Marsh has been consistent with the bat for LSG. He scored 65 runs off 39 balls in the last match and has a total of 443 runs in 11 innings in IPL 2025.

Shubman Gill (GT)

Skipper Shubman Gill has been the backbone of GT’s batting line-up. He has been in great form and currently stands second on the Orange Cap leaderboard. He scored an unbeaten 93 runs off 53 balls in his last game.

Fantasy XI

Shubman Gill (C), Sai Sudharshan, Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran Washington Sundar, Akash Singh, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Kagiso Rabada, Rishabh Pant (WK) (VC)
