The opening match of matchday three of the U17 girls’ championship at Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence saw Greater Accra secure a 3-1 victory over the Western Region. Greater Accra established a commanding lead early on, with Abigail Awusiwaa converting a penalty in the 5th minute. Teammates Agnes Attipoe and Last Agnes Safoah added to the tally with goals in the 12th and 30th minutes, respectively. Western Region managed to pull one back just before halftime through a 33rd-minute penalty from Serven Eliplim Gasu, making the score 2-1 at the break. However, Greater Accra sealed their win with a third goal, ending the match 3-1.

In the day’s second fixture, Brong Ahafo emerged victorious with a 2-0 clean sheet against Upper West. The first half was a tightly contested affair, with the deadlock finally broken by Chatey Wayikpen in the 30th minute. After the break, Brong Ahafo solidified their lead when Edna Frimpong found the net in the second half, ensuring a solid 2-0 win and valuable points for her side.

In Group A action, Central Region put on a dominant display to defeat Volta Region 2-0. The scoring was opened early by Alberta Adjei, who calmly slotted home a penalty in just the 2nd minute. The star of the match, however, was Millicent Korkor Tetteh, who scored a decisive brace with goals in the 14th and 24th minutes. Her outstanding performance rightly earned her the Most Valuable Player award as the Central Region controlled the game to secure an important victory.

The final match featured a hard-fought 2-1 win for Ashanti Region over Upper East. Ashanti took the lead in the 26th minute through a brilliant individual effort from Amponsah Franklina, who weaved past two defenders to find the net. The lead was doubled shortly after by Afoakwa Anima Chrislord in the 32nd minute. Upper East mounted a comeback attempt, with Akakpo Love scoring a consolation goal for her side in the 37th minute, but Ashanti Region held on to claim all three points in a closely contested encounter.
