Assistant referee Roland Nii Dodoo Addy has arrived in Egypt to take part in the final preparatory camp ahead of the 2025 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to kick off in August.

The experienced match official is among a select group of elite referees across the continent chosen by CAF to officiate at the prestigious tournament.

Dodoo Addy’s invitation to the final training camp in Egypt is a testament to his consistent rise in African refereeing circles.

The camp, organized by CAF’s Refereeing Department, is designed to fine-tune the physical fitness, technical knowledge, and decision-making skills of referees ahead of the high-stakes matches expected at CHAN 2025.

His inclusion reflects the growing confidence CAF has in Ghanaian match officials, with Dodoo Addy already earning respect for his composure and accuracy on the field.

He has officiated in several major domestic and continental competitions, steadily building a solid reputation across Africa.

The CHAN tournament, which features only players who compete in their national leagues, is considered a key platform for showcasing home-based talent—and equally, the referees who manage the games.

As preparations intensify in Egypt, all eyes will be on the officials selected, and Ghana will be hoping Dodoo Addy emerges from the camp ready to shine on one of African football’s biggest stages.
