The Women Oldies Stars of Ghana delivered an impressive performance to defeat Association of Femme Foot Santé – Togo 3–0 in the Grannies International Football Friendly match held at La McDan Park, La–Accra at the weekend.

The match, organized to promote women’s football, friendship and sportsmanship between Ghana and Togo, saw the Ghanaian side dominate proceedings from the early minutes.

Former Black Queens player Rumanatu Tahiru opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, finishing calmly to give Ghana the lead.

Tahiru, who previously captained Immigration Ladies and now serves as a CAF License ‘B’ coach, continued her outstanding performance by doubling Ghana’s advantage in the 36th minute, completing a brilliant first-half brace.

The hosts maintained their control in the second half, and former La Ladies player Agnes Agyarkwa sealed the victory in the 56th minute with Ghana’s third goal of the match.

The friendly formed part of preparations for the Grannies International Football Tournament scheduled to take place in South Africa in 2027.

The Grannies International President, Madam Rebecca Beka Ntsanwisi from South Africa was in Ghana as guest of honour for the match.
