Ghana defeated Tunisia 4:0 on aggregate to progress to the next round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Mercy Attobrah scored the first goal in the 37th minute after the Princesses missed early chances to go ahead. Ivy Osei Owusu’s solo run at goal to increase the lead missed the post by inches as the Princesses went into the break with a one-goal advantage.

Head Coach Charles Sampson made substitutions in the second half which yielded results when Agnes Yeboah scored the second goal with her first touch in the 46th minute.

Ghana created numerous chances but couldn’t find the back of the net as the resolute defense of Tunisia denied them on several occasions. The result gives Ghana a 4:0 aggregate advantage over the two legs to progress to the third round of the competition.

Ghana will face South Africa in February in the third round of the competition.
