The Football Association has conducted a scouting exercise in the Northern belt as part of its continuous efforts to identify and select players for the Elite Academies.
The exercise, which covered the Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions, saw over 120 boys and 60 girls converge at the Kurt E. S. Okraku Technical Centre in Winkogo for the final round of evaluations.
The session was supervised by a technical team led by FIFA Talent Coach Stuart McClaren, Elite Academy Manager and National Team Department official Joseph Tetteh Zutah and National U-15 Coach and Scout Manager Fataw Salifu.
This scouting exercise forms part of the Football Association’s broader strategy to finalize selections for the Northern sector Elite Academy. The programme is designed not only to nurture outstanding young talent but also to replace players who are advancing to Senior High School (SHS) 2 this year.
The GFA reaffirms its commitment to developing grassroots football and building sustainable pathways for young players to progress through the national football structure.
