The Football Association on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, held a comprehensive mid-season review meeting with Premier League clubs as part of efforts to assess the first round of the 2025/26 season and align expectations in the second half of the campaign.

The virtual meeting brought together top executives of all 18 Premier League clubs to engage in open and constructive dialogue on key issues affecting the league’s growth, image and overall competitiveness.

Opening the session, GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo underscored the shared responsibility of all stakeholders in ensuring a successful, well-managed and incident-free season. He stressed that with the increasing level of investment in Ghanaian football, clubs must play their part in delivering value to sponsors and enhancing the league’s commercial appeal.

He further noted that professionalism, compliance with regulations and collective commitment were critical to sustaining confidence among partners and growing the Premier League brand.

The meeting featured frank and wide-ranging discussions on practical challenges that have historically impacted the league. Key areas addressed included officiating standards, the Competition Management System (CMS), adherence to the zero-contact policy, fulfillment of sponsorship obligations and deliberate efforts to promote the league more effectively amongst others.

Club representatives shared candid assessments of the first half of the season, highlighting both progress made and persistent challenges, while reaffirming their willingness to collaborate closely with the GFA and fellow clubs to improve standards across the board.

The GFA expressed confidence that the renewed sense of unity and commitment demonstrated during the review will translate into tangible improvements in the second half of the season, positioning the 2025/26 Premier League campaign as one of the most competitive, professional and commercially rewarding in recent years.
