The Football Association on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, held a series of mid-season review meetings with match commissioners across all divisions as part of efforts to strengthen match organisation and administrative efficiency.

The engagements were conducted in three separate sessions involving Premier League, Division One League and Women’s Premier League match commissioners. The staggered meetings were led by FA General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, beginning with the Premier League commissioners, followed by Division One and concluding with the Women’s Premier League.

During the sessions, the General Secretary conducted a comprehensive assessment of the commissioners’ performance in the first half of the season, while encouraging them to raise standards and improve service delivery in the second half of the campaign.

The review focused on evaluating matchday operations, addressing challenges encountered during matches and reinforcing best practices in line with FA regulations. The meetings also served as a platform for feedback, capacity building and alignment with established administrative and operational standards.

The Football Association is heavy on professionalism, consistency and efficiency in match management, ensuring stronger coordination among stakeholders and the smooth conduct of league competitions for the remainder of the season and beyond.
