The Football Association has concluded a comprehensive mid-season review meeting with executives of the 48 Division One League clubs, held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, as part of efforts to enhance the quality and sustainability of the Access Bank Division One League.

The session, led by GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, underscored the need for collective responsibility and collaboration among all stakeholders to improve the competition and effectively address challenges identified in the first half of the season.

Key issues discussed included officiating standards, safety and security at match venues, strict adherence to the zero-contact policy, the effective use of the Competition Management System (CMS) and the enforcement of matchday protocols. These areas were examined in detail, with a shared focus on raising professionalism and protecting the integrity of the league.

The meeting featured open and wide-ranging discussions, allowing club representatives to offer candid assessments of the first half of the campaign.

While acknowledging areas of progress, clubs also highlighted persistent challenges affecting league operations and competitiveness, reaffirming their commitment to work closely with the GFA and fellow clubs to improve standards across the board.
