General Statistics of the Ghana Premier League after week 23

Out of 180 matches in the Ghana Premier League this season, 90 home wins, 32 away wins, and 58 draws have been recorded. A total of 304 goals have been scored, consisting of 198 goals at home, 106 goals away from home, and 9 own goals. Additionally, 130 goals were scored in the first half, while 174 goals were scored in the second half. Notably, 24 penalties were successfully converted out of the 27 awarded.

Home Wins

League leaders Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars have achieved the most home wins with 8 victories each. Heart of Lions and Bechem United follow closely with 7 home wins each.

Away Wins

Nations FC have secured the most away wins, with 5 victories. Former league winners Hearts of Oak trail closely behind with 4 away wins.

League Table

Asante Kotoko lead the table, narrowly ahead of second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars, with both teams having amassed 37 points in 20 matches. At the opposite end of the table, Accra Lions, who finished second-best in the league last season, have secured the least points with 16 and are struggling to avoid relegation.

Top Scorers

Faisal Charwetey of Nations FC and last season’s top scorer Stephen Amankona of Berekum Chelsea are currently tied as the top scorers in the league, each having scored 9 goals.

Clean Sheets

Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak, Emmanuel Kobi of Gold Stars FC, and Dari Aziz Haruna of Bechem United hold the record for the most clean sheets in the league this season, each having kept 12 clean sheets.
