Gary Neville believes referee Michael Oliver made the right decision to send Phil Foden off in Sunday’s Manchester derby, saying the Manchester City midfielder kicked Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes in the stomach.
Midway through the first half of the 199th Manchester derby, Foden went to the ground following a challenge from Fernandes. But the England international attracted the attention of the referee following his petulant reaction to being kicked in the backside by Fernandes.
