FC AshantiGold midfielder Frederick Twumasi has been named Man of the Match following his outstanding display in their 2-0 victory over Tamale City in the X1 DOL Super Cup.
Twumasi was outstanding throughout the game at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium and opened the scoring in the 36th minute, netting AshantiGold’s first goal of the competition.
Umar Farouq later doubled their advantage in the 89th minute to seal a comfortable victory for the Miners.
Despite the 2-0 win, FC AshantiGold have been eliminated from the competition after finishing third in Group B with four points on goal difference.
