The Ex-National Goalkeepers Union has chosen its nominees for the Premier League’s outstanding Goalkeeper of the Month for April. The four goalkeepers contesting for the award include Emmanuel Kobi of Gold Stars FC, Daniel Afful of Accra Lions, Rabin Ousmane Sanon of Nations FC, and Shaibu Rafique Issah of FC Samartex 1996.

Emmanuel Kobi (Gold Star FC) – won four and lost two, kept three successive clean sheets, and conceded four goals in six league matches during the month.

Daniel Afful (Accra Lions) – won three and suffered two defeats, kept two clean sheets (the least among the nominees), and conceded the most goals (six) in five league matches.

Rabin Ousmane Sanon (Nations FC) – the Burkinabe goalkeeper is selected for the first time for the Best Goalkeeper of the Month award after helping his side secure the top spot in the league table at the end of the month. He won four, lost one, conceded the least goals (one), and earned four consecutive clean sheets (the highest) in five league matches.

Shaibu Rafique Issah (FC Samartex 1996) – the youngster secured back-to-back nominations following his impressive performance, helping FC Samartex reach seventh position in the table. He won three, drew one, suffered one defeat, kept three clean sheets, and conceded four goals in five league matches.

The winner will receive a prize package from the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union, consisting of a pair of gloves, a branding towel, water bottles, and a T-shirt.
