The Indian Armed Forces are involved in a cross-border conflict with Pakistan since the last two days. Former and current Indian cricketers have reacted to the situation in support of the armed forces.
Former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad has tweeted, calling Pakistan a “rogue state”. There was also some explicit language used in the tweet by the 55-year-old former India bowling coach. The statement made by the Karnataka ex-cricketer has gone viral on the platform, where some fans have shown support towards the tweet while others have questioned the language he has used.
āWhat a complete rogue state Pakistan is. India will scr** them like how,ā Prasad wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Apart from Prasad, former India opener and two-time world champion Virender Sehwag has reacted to the situation as well. The Nawab of Najafgarh mentioned that it is Pakistan that has chosen war and the armed forces will react in an appropriate manner.
āWar has been chosen by Pakistan when they had an opportunity to keep quiet. They have escalated to save itās terrorist assets, speaks so much about them. Our forces will reply in the most appropriate manner, a manner Pakistan will never forget,” Virender Sehwag wrote on X.

Border tensions result in IPL suspensionĀ
Cricket in India has come to a halt as the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been suspended for one week until further notice due to the circumstances between the two nations.

There have been 58 matches played so far in the tournament with 16 games still to go in the tournament. There are reports that the BCCI are looking at the window of either August or September to continue the global league if it does not go ahead soon.
