Robert Lewandowski has named Lamine Yamal as the player he wants to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or, while describing Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise as a contender who deserves more attention.
Lewandowski, who left Barcelona in the summer to join Chicago Fire, gave his views in an interview with The Athletic, a few days before the ceremony in London. He said (via Buli News):
